Glowing Green Smoothie (GGS)

This is my variation of Kimberly Snyder's Glowing Green Smoothie. I encourage you to rotate your greens and fruits in your smoothie to get a variety of nutrients in your diet. The more colorful your diet is the better!
I don't recommend having this as meal if you struggle with acne, you need to keep your blood sugar levels stable by eating balanced meals. But you can have this as a side or before breakfast.

Serves 1-2 (makes 2 full glasses)
Ingredients:
1 cup water
2 big handfuls of spinach (or a mix of greens of choice)
2-3 celery stalks, chopped
1/2 English cucumber, peeled and chopped
1 small ripe pear, chopped
1 frozen ripe banana (or use 1/2 apple*)
1 small handful of cilantro and parsley
1/4-1/2 peeled & deseeded lemon (to taste)
1/2-1 inch piece of ginger, optional
Directions:
Add to the blender, blend, and enjoy!

*Note: Bananas can be too high in sugar for some people who have acne-prone skin and for others it can be okay to have in their diet. Experiment to find what works for you. :)
