Green Smoothie

I don't recommend having this as meal if you struggle with acne, you need to keep your blood sugar levels stable by eating balanced meals. But you can have this as a side, as a snack, or before breakfast.


Also, I encourage you to rotate your greens and fruits in your smoothie to get a variety of nutrients in your diet. The more colorful your diet is the better!

Serves 2-3

Yields: 4 1/2 cups


Ingredients:

1 cup of water

2 big handfuls of spinach

1 ripe bananas

8-9 strawberries 

1 cup mixed berries

1/2 cup blueberries (optional)

1 Tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds


Directions:

Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth. Enjoy! 


Note: If you don't have a high-speed blender, allow any frozen ingredients to thaw for a couple of minutes before blending. I do not recommend drinking cold beverages so do try to avoid using all frozen fruit.
